Canggu

Surf, sunset, cafes and boutique stays from Batu Bolong to Berawa.
Canggu runs from the black-sand breaks of Batu Bolong and Echo Beach inland through Berawa and up to quieter Pererenan. It's where most of Bali's new small hotels, villas and restaurants open first.
Content here has to work hard. Guests compare dozens of near-identical pool shots before they book, so the places that show the morning surf check, the walk to breakfast and the sunset at the end of the lane stand out.

Canggu's character, on camera
Canggu is a collection of small worlds rather than one place. Batu Bolong and Echo Beach are surf beaches with a daily rhythm of dawn patrols and sunset crowds. Berawa is more resort-leaning. Pererenan sits to the west and feels quieter. Lanes between them run past rice fields, cafes and new villas.
That mix is the story. Guests choose Canggu for the surf, the food and the feeling of a place that never quite stops. A hotel content creator in Canggu can show that around your property: the scooter ride in, the walk to breakfast, the beach at the end of the lane.
What properties here should show
Most Canggu villas, Airbnbs and boutique hotels have a pool, a bed and a view, and so do their competitors. What sets you apart is how your place sits in the neighbourhood. Show the morning light across the pool, the breakfast arriving, the walk to the nearest cafe or break, and the moment guests settle in for the evening.
Restaurants and cafes should show the pass, the pour and the room filling up. Surf schools, yoga studios and gyms should show the feeling in the first-person view. We shape a shot list for each, then deliver UGC, vertical video and photography for your feed, ads, website and booking pages.
Light and timing in Canggu
Canggu faces west, so the beach comes alive in the hour before sunset, and pools and gardens look best in the early morning before the sun gets hard. Midday is for interiors and shaded details. In the wet season, roughly November to March, afternoon storms can roll in, so we plan flexible shoot windows and use the softer, greener light.
Because my base is in Canggu, I can return for a second visit at a different time of day, or pick up a short shoot when the light is right. Local knowledge makes that easy to arrange.
